All BLACK LINE MT high-performance solar modules are not equipped with the usual 36 solar cells, but with 72 solar cells. This MultiCell (MC) technology ensures optimum performance in any work environment and weather conditions. Independent comparison tests have shown that the charging performance improves considerably by doubling the cells, not just in ideal conditions but also in unfavourable weather conditions. In direct comparison with 36-cell solar modules, MC solar modules are also less sensitive to partial shade.
Each MT solar module has the following minimum requirement:
- 200 Temperature change from -40°C to 85°C with partially extreme load of 85% humidity
- Impact resistance test with hail fire
- Any kind of outdoor use in extreme heat and humidity conditions
- Mechanical strength at wind speeds up to 225 km / h
- Absolute fatigue strength; also suitable for extreme conditions (expedition use)
We manufacture MT solar modules of the BLACK LINE series according to our strict quality guidelines and especially for the application area "motorhomes under difficult conditions". This is necessary to meet the requirements in mobile use. On the one hand, this concerns the mechanical and the special thermal conditions. For example, internal cell connectors must be able to compensate for vibrations over many years and be designed for much higher temperatures through roof mounting above the vehicle insulation. Also, the requirements for the frame construction are different than those for normal standard modules. The frames must be torsionally rigid to protect the upper glass plateon the one hand, on the other hand, it must be ensured that any occurring structural movements are compensated.
To ensure years of reliable operation, a water pressure-tight junction box is fitted on the back, into which moisture cannot penetrate even at high speeds. Nevertheless, it is possible to open the junction box (V4 screws) in order to connect additional solar modules in parallel if required. This has the advantage that only one charging cable needs to be routed to the interior.
The service life of monocrystalline MT solar modules is more than 30 years and therefore we grant you a performance guarantee of 25 years regardless of the field of application.
72 MultiCell
Thanks to their 72 solar cells, the new MT MultiCell solar modules offer particularly high partial shading efficiency. The modules feature a low voltage-temperature coefficient and an exceptionally good low-light performance. Thus, they record an excellent energy yield even in adverse weather conditions.
Specially developed for motorhomes
Solar modules for motorhomes are claimed differently than those for home systems! Thus, for mobile use, the connection sockets must be water pressure-tight (airstream) and the solder joints must be specially designed for the vibrations that occur. Also, the frame construction requires a special design to compensate for any distortion and resulting buoyancy forces.
MT BLACK LINE solar complete systems include all installation accessories. Each system is equipped with all required installation components in high-quality design. All solar modules in the Black Line series are equipped with high-performance cells to ensure optimum performance, even under difficult operating conditions.
The solar modules are built on TÜV-approved brackets. These are glued to the vehicle roof with the enclosed adhesive kit (tested and approved by TÜV). The outdoor cable is UV-safe and, just like the cable set in the interior, is resistant to all environmental influences. The cable connection in the interior is passed through a water pressure-tight cable bushing.
The cabling is designed in such a way that the system can be upgraded at any time by a solar module of the same power. The solar control can also handle the extra power.
All complete systems are also equipped with an EBL connecting cable set and are therefore state-of-the-art.
