Picture quality
We know that installation locations in motorhomes and caravans are not always ideal. That's why all Caratec TV sets are equipped with a panel that always has excellent picture reproduction when viewed from all sides. This means that even when viewed from an unfavorable angle, the picture quality does not deteriorate, and colors and brightness remain largely unchanged.

Terrestrial reception
The built-in DVB-T2 HD receiver allows you to receive terrestrial TV programs. You can receive this digitally broadcast program in many areas of Germany. The public broadcasters even free of charge in HD quality. For private channels, a CI+ module with subscription is required. The CAM fits easily into the CI slot of the device. A small active DVB-T2 antenna is included with the device, so you can get started right away.

Digital satellite reception
The built-in DVB-S2 receiver, in combination with a satellite antenna such as the Caratec CASAT series, allows you to receive your favorite channel at your vacation destination. The reception range depends on the antenna, but Europe is largely covered. With the Caratec TV sets, you can receive not only TV programs but also many radio stations via satellite. For encrypted channels, the TV set has a CI+ slot. Often, setting up a TV set for satellite reception is quite a hassle. Not so with Caratec TV sets, because country-specific channel lists are already pre-installed. A lengthy search is thus unnecessary in most cases and you are ready to go immediately. With Caratec Smart-D satellite antennas such as the CASAT600S, operation becomes even easier, because it can be moved in and out with the Caratec TV remote control. It automatically searches for the right satellite based on the settings in the channel list. It couldn't be more convenient.

DVD player
Do you like to take your DVDs with you on your travels? No problem, a DVD player is already built into the TV. It is so flat that it does not require any additional installation depth.

USB port
videos in many formats can be played easily via the two USB ports. The USB port can also be used as a power supply for a Smart TV stick or the Caratec Soundbar CAS100, for example.

HDMI connection
Although everything is actually already in there, we added two HDMI ports. You never know. Additional devices can be connected to them. Of course, it's also possible to connect a game console with an HDMI port. A CEC control is integrated or can be retrofitted via a software update.

Housing
As compact as possible, yet sturdy. The housings of our TVs are made to travel with you. That's why they're built more robustly than devices for home use. At the same time, the housings are as flat as possible so that they can fit on Caratec TV mounts even in tight installation positions.

Sound
Honestly, it's hard to get really great sound out of compact cases. But since good sound is very important to us, we have optimized the sound of the built-in speakers over the years. So that you can also hear something when rain pelts the roof and so that you can also understand dialogs well. If you have somewhat more demanding requirements, we recommend taking a look at our "invisible soundbar" CAS101BT or pairing the TV with the vehicle's audio system. For this purpose, we have given our TVs two outputs: the headphone output and an additional high-quality fixed level connection. these two RCA jacks allow you to connect the TV to the moniceiver or navigation system in the same way you're used to from your home hi-fi system.

Energy consumption
Caratec TV sets use energy sparingly. Due to the EU regulation in force since 1.3.2021, they are indeed classified in energy efficiency class E. Nevertheless, of course, they do not consume more energy than before, when they were A or A+. This means that long TV viewing is possible without any problems, even without shore power

Designed for mobile homes and other motor vehicles
Caratec TV sets are designed for use in motor vehicles. Therefore, they are tested and approved according to ECE R10. The built-in power supply is also specially designed for this application and therefore operates in a wide voltage range of 9-30 V (CAV190 model/CAV220 model/CAV240 model) or 10-30 V (CAV320 model).

Accessories
Stand and power supply are optional and not included, because they are usually not needed for the TV set. A 12V connection cable with combination plug for on-board socket and cigarette lighter is included, as well as an active DVB-T2 antenna, so you are ready to go.
