As a 13-year-old, Peter Gelzhäuser already cycled from Freiburg around Lake Constance with his bicycle and tent. Since then, he has always remained connected to camping and later traveled, among other things, by motorcycle through the Sahara and on an expedition with four-wheel drive vehicles through Malawi. In 1980, he turned his hobby into his profession and switched from plastics application technology to water treatment.

In the field of water disinfection, tank cleaning, vehicle care and sanitary hygiene for caravans and boats, trekking, biking, trade and industry, he now has over 35 years of professional experience. During this time he has completed numerous further training courses, has been a lecturer at various academies and the author of numerous specialist articles. He is known in the industry as "Water Peter" and is a sought-after advisor to trade journals and customers due to his extensive knowledge. As an active sailor, motorhome owner and adventure traveler, he knows almost all the problems of cleaning and caring for recreational vehicles.
