about the author
Dirk Klawatzki and Dietmar Heim have been trekking in northern Scandinavia, Iceland and Canada for many years. In summer and autumn as hikers and with the canoe, in winter on skis they got to know the Nordic wilderness in mostly expedition-like tours lasting several weeks.
Brief description
This OutdoorHandbook addresses the growing number of solo trekking travelers. It is intended to provide assistance in planning, preparing and carrying out a solo tour as opposed to a group trip or a trip with a partner.
Further all characteristics of a solo route, begun with the equipment over emergency measures up to assistance with the most diverse experiences, are pointed out. The psychological aspect is also briefly addressed. This outdoor handbook is aimed at all those who have already gained experience with group tours and now want to go solo on a trekking tour, but also at people who have little experience in trekking tours, but now want to tackle a longer tour.
