Quilting
An elaborate chamber system prevents the DownWool filling from slipping. This ensures that the filling remains evenly distributed over the long term. In the 3-season comforter, the chambers are sewn with a bar to prevent unpleasant cold bridges.

The cassette comforter with smaller chambers also adapts perfectly to the shape of the body, even to small children's sizes. This means that the whole body is evenly enveloped and you feel wonderfully snug despite the luxurious lightness of this comforter.

Outer fabric
In addition to the DownWool filling and its quilting, the down-proof woven cover of our Grüezi Bag comforters is exceptional: it feels incredibly soft and gentle on the skin and is made of 100% high-quality organic cotton.

Optimum sleeping climate thanks to natural down and wool filling
The special feature of the DownWool comforter is its innovative insulation: it creates a warm and dry body climate and balances out temperature fluctuations, ideal for people who sweat easily or suffer from hot flushes.

This is achieved through natural high-end DownWool insulation. It is a blend of 70 % high-quality RDS-certified down and 30 % wool from the Alpine region (patent pending). The combination acts like a light and natural air conditioning system and offers considerable advantages over pure down or wool comforters:

• Nothing insulates as well as high-quality down, because down has a very high insulating capacity with a low dead weight.
• However, down only insulates as long as it is dry and fluffy. With increasing moisture, the fine branches of the down collapse, the down clumps together and the insulating capacity decreases considerably. Chemical agents are often used to make the down water-repellent.
• DownWool eliminates the need to treat the down by adding wool. As a result, wool keeps the down drier in a natural way and thus maintains the insulating effect of the down.
• Wool can absorb and release up to 30% of its own weight in moisture via its capillaries. This means that it not only effectively regulates moisture, but also temperature. Even when damp, it retains its warming properties, which no other material can do. Wool naturally creates a pleasant microclimate thanks to its unique climate-regulating properties.
• Thanks to the unique mode of action of DownWool insulation, the body can save itself some of the energy-consuming work of regulating body temperature. The energy saved is available for regeneration during sleep.
