iKamper Skycamp 2.0 - A roof tent for the whole family
Whether you want to spend a nice weekend in nature with the family in a small car, or go on adventures in an off-road vehicle and discover the most remote places in our world: The iKamper Skycamp roof tent is the perfect solution to spontaneously escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and to experience nature up close once again! Easy to assemble like a roof box, the Skycamp 2.0 offers space for up to 4 people thanks to its unique folding mechanism. Here, the focus is clearly on fun - but above all on uncomplicated handling: within one minute, the roof tent is ready for use thanks to the unique folding mechanism.
Convenient features:
Windows:
In order to enjoy the view from a lofty height, the Skycamp roof tent has large 3-layer windows all around, which can be stretched open with the help of spring rods. All windows are equipped with a very fine, robust mosquito net, a weather protection that can be closed from the inside, as well as special canopies that allow ventilation even in heavy rain. A unique feature is the panoramic skylight, which allows you to see the stars at night or illuminate the tent during the day. For late sleepers, the skylight of course has a fabric cover that can be closed from the inside.
Interior:
Air chamber lining on the inside of the hard shell and on the mattress provides a cosy atmosphere in the roof tent. The inside of the hard shell features a decorative world map, inviting you to dream of faraway lands.
Robust material:
The iKamper Skycamp has an extremely resilient tent fabric made of canvas material, a 300g/m² heavy cotton blend fabric with a long lifespan. This is waterproof, breathable and insulating at the same time. This means that on warm days it doesn't heat up as much in the tent itself, and in the autumn/winter months it doesn't cool down as quickly. This canvas material is breathable, insulating and quieter in the wind than conventional poly-nylon material. This material is also more resistant to UV rays. The tent floor is made of aluminium honeycomb panels. This type of construction is characterized by high flexural strength, extremely low weight and excellent flatness.
Tropical roof:
The tropical roof keeps out the sun's rays and provides shade due to the layer of air between the roof and the tent, thus ensuring a comfortable indoor climate in very hot regions.
Ladder:
Height adjustable with a body height of 206cm to 234cm. The ladder's ergonomic treads are straight for added comfort when stepping on.
Aerodynamic hard shell:
The special design of the fiberglass hard shell not only reduces air resistance on the road. The unique hard shell of the Skycamp has a special air zone between the outer and inner shape. This air zone not only makes the hard shell extra strong and durable, but also insulates the inside of the roof tent against sound and cold. The hard shell comes standard with sturdy, lockable metal latches. The hard shell of the Rocky Black variant is finished with a matte black LineX coating, for that appealing matte look.
Mattress:
The comfortable mattress included in the scope of delivery ensures fantastic lying comfort. Sleeping surface: 196 x 203 cm.
Easy assembly:
Thanks to the low dead weight, the SKYCAMP 2.0 can be easily lifted onto the car roof like a roof box with just two people and attached to the crossbar with the enclosed fastening clips.

Will the roof tent fit on my car and what do I need to mount it?
The roof tent can be mounted on almost any vehicle. You only need 2 load carriers and a minimum roof load of 75 kg. The roof tent is then simply attached to the load carriers with the enclosed mounting material. For most vehicles, the roof load is between 75-100 kg - this specification refers to the load while driving. When stationary, the weight acting on the roof may be considerably higher.
