Intelligent Practical

Product description

The intelligent second battery charger causes the starter battery to be charged first while driving. When this reaches a voltage of 13.6 V, the secondary battery charger automatically switches on the second battery. Both batteries are now charged by the alternator. Up to a total voltage of 12.8 V, both batteries remain connected in parallel

If the voltage drops below 12.8 V, the secondary battery charger switches off the auxiliary battery again. Power can still be drawn from the second battery. The electronics are suitable for all 12 V lead batteries, the switching capacity is sufficient for batteries up to 500 Ah. The open cable ends allow individual installation. The control LED lights up when both batteries are being charged. The secondary battery charger has the E-approval and is therefore suitable for permanent installation in all vehicles with road approval.

Second battery charger in a vehicle:
The use of a second battery charger makes sense if an inverter or other 12 V consumers are used more frequently in a vehicle. To avoid excessive discharge of the starter battery, it is recommended to install a second battery as well as a second battery charger. Please note that inverters or 12 V consumers are only connected to the second battery. If the second battery is exhausted, the engine can still be started from the starter battery.
Second battery charger as part of a solar island system:
Thanks to the intelligent charge management of the secondary battery charger, the energy produced at peak times can be easily and effectively stored in a second battery. In this way, the energy supply for particularly important consumers can be ensured at all times in a simple manner.

Application example:
The primary battery is used to connect important consumers that must always work, such as alarm systems or refrigerators. The secondary battery supplies power to less important consumers, such as TV or radio sets.
Other applications:
Passenger car, motor home, caravan, boat, tractor, bus, truck, construction site vehicles as well as solar island systems and many more.
