Product description
The Nature's Head composting toilet is easy to install and even easier to use. Strictly speaking it is a composting, drying and separating toilet in one. It is robust, lightweight and efficient, yet odourless and requires no chemicals, pumping or black water tank. And above all, it is affordable!
The separation toilet is supplied with most of the components necessary for installation
Excluded from this is the external fan (cover), as each application requires a different fan. Common are e.g. gill plates in various sizes (if you already have an old feedthrough), for a new installation a size of approx. 6 cm diameter is sufficient. We would recommend a fly screen or a comparable solution with gauze to make it impossible for insects to penetrate the ventilation hose.
For some installation variants longer hose lengths may be required, for longer pieces the hose can also be replaced by standard PVC pipe. In this case, however, please note that a flexible piece of hose is required towards the toilet for service work (pull off the hose to empty the solids container).
If your installation has a different floor construction than wood, other fastening screws may be necessary. For installations on concrete floors or similar, you can alternatively fix the toilet on a piece of painted wood, which is screwed or glued to the concrete.
If you want to operate the toilet on a 230 volt power supply (house connection), this can be done with the help of a power supply unit.
We recommend coconut fibres as composting medium (see optional accessories).
- Robust and easy to use!
The Nature's Head composting toilet is made of robust PE with stainless steel fittings. Designed to withstand the most adverse conditions, it has an attractive granite finish and an easy to use crank handle.
- Small, but powerful!
The Nature's Head composting toilet is one of the smallest separation toilets on the European market, but far ahead when it comes to capacity! The complete toilet weighs only 14.5 kg and the generously dimensioned, shaped seat is extremely comfortable!
- Women-friendly!
The Nature's Head composting toilet is 100% women friendly! You don't have to be able to aim at a specific area. Just leave the solid flap closed for urination and use the toilet as usual. All liquids are reliably drained into the urine container.
- Hygienic and comfortable seat!
The moulded seat of the Nature's Head composting toilet is comfortable and extremely easy to keep clean, as it has no corners and edges where dirt could collect. Unlike composting toilets with a separate folding seat, there are no plastic hinges or thin plastic parts that can break, and the sturdy lid is strong enough to sit on without any problems.
- Months between emptyings!
The environmentally friendly Nature's Head composting toilet can be used about 60 - 80 times before emptying the solids container becomes necessary. The secret is the unique drying process. Simply turn the crank after each use. The solids are then thoroughly mixed with the coconut fibres and the residual moisture is removed. The solids and coconut fibre mixture is dried with a small fan, which ensures that there is no odour! Ok, the urine container will have to be emptied more often, about after 2-5 days. It is simply plugged into the front of the toilet, so no external urine tank or difficult plumbing is required. The urine bottle has a large capacity and is semi-transparent, so you can see when to empty it without having to admire the contents every time you come to the toilet! The bottle holder keeps the urine bottle safely where it should be, even on rough roads or at sea.
- No substrate after each use
It is not necessary to sprinkle a substrate after each use to cover the solids. So there is no chaos, no potential spillage of substrate on the floor and no bulky substrate bag taking up space in the toilet area! A Nature's Head composting toilet comes with everything you need for installation, including a pre-installed small fan and exhaust duct. You only need to add some prepared coconut fibre or peat to get started.
- NEW - with foot crank
Since many customers operate the Spider Handle with their foot, there is now a Spider version with a larger contact surface. This makes power transmission easier, especially with an already well-filled container.
Important note: The foot crank is connected to the agitator via a slip clutch and can therefore only move the shaft in one direction (forward rotation). Therefore the crank cannot be changed to the other side in this model. For an operation with operation on the left side seen from the front, please order the classic model with spider handle. This can also be operated comfortably with the foot, only the contact surface for the foot is a little smaller.
- NEW - with lever armThis
version is particularly suitable for customers with limited mobility, as it can also be operated while seated.
The lever can also be advantageous in situations where the sides are narrow and you cannot move your foot or hand between the toilet and the cabinet or similar, as the lever comes up inside the solid flap lever.
Important note: The lever arm is connected to the agitator via a slip clutch and can therefore only move the shaft in one direction (forward rotation). Therefore the crank cannot be changed to the other side on this model. For an operation with operation on the left side seen from the front, please order our classic model with spider handle. This can also be operated comfortably with the foot or hand.
