Product description
The Nature's Head composting toilet is easy to install and even easier to use. In fact, it's a composting, drying, and separation toilet all in one. It's sturdy, lightweight, and efficient, yet odorless, and it requires no chemicals, pump-out, or black water tank. And most importantly, it's affordable!
The separation toilet is supplied with most of the components necessary for installation
This does not include the external fan (cover), as each application requires a different fan. Common are e.g. gill plates in various sizes (if you have e.g. already an old feed-through), for a new installation a size of approx. 6 cm diameter is sufficient. We would recommend a fly screen or a comparable solution with gauze to make it impossible for insects to enter the ventilation hose.
Some installation options might require longer lengths of hose, for longer pieces the hose can also be replaced with commercial PVC pipe. In this case, however, note that a flexible piece of hose is required towards the toilet for service work (pulling off the hose to empty the solids tank).
If you have a floor construction other than wood for your installation, other fastening screws may be necessary. Alternatively, for installations on concrete floors or similar, you can mount the toilet on a piece of painted wood that is screwed or glued firmly to the concrete.
If you want to operate the toilet on a 230 volt power supply (house connection), this can be done with the help of a power supply unit.
We recommend coconut fibres as composting medium (see optional accessories).
- Rugged and easy to use!
The Nature's Head composting toilet is made of sturdy PE with stainless steel hardware. Designed to withstand the harshest conditions, it features an attractive granite finish and an easy-to-use crank handle.
- Small but mighty!
The Nature's Head composting toilet is one of the smallest partitioning toilets on the European market, but way ahead when it comes to capacity! The complete toilet weighs only 14.5 kg and the generously sized, moulded seat is extremely comfortable!
- Woman friendly!
The Nature's Head composting toilet is 100% female friendly! You don't need to be able to target a specific area. Just leave the solid waste flap closed to urinate and use the toilet as you normally would. All liquids are reliably drained into the urine container.
- Hygienic and comfortable seat!
The shaped seat of the Nature's Head composting toilet is comfortable and extremely easy to keep clean, as it has no corners or edges where dirt could accumulate. Unlike composting toilets with a separate folding seat, there are no plastic hinges or thin plastic parts to break, and the sturdy lid is firm enough to sit on with ease.
- Months between empties!
The eco-friendly Nature's Head composting toilet can be used approximately 60 - 80 times before emptying the solids container is necessary. The secret is the unique drying process. Simply turn the crank after each use. This thoroughly mixes the solids with the coir and removes any residual moisture. The solids and coconut fiber mixture is dried with a small fan, this keeps it odor free! Ok, the urine container will need to be emptied more often, about 2-5 days. It simply plugs into the front of the toilet, so no external urine tank or difficult plumbing required. The urine bottle has a large capacity and is semi-transparent, so you can see when it needs emptying without having to admire the contents every time you come to the loo! The bottle holder keeps the urine bottle securely where it needs to be, even on rough roads or at sea.
- No substrate after each use
There is no need to sprinkle substrate to cover the solids after each use. So there's no mess, no potential spillage of substrate on the floor, and no bulky substrate bag taking up space in the toilet area! With a Nature's Head composting toilet, everything you need for installation is included, including a pre-installed small fan and exhaust duct. All you need to do is pour in some prepared coconut fiber or peat to get started.
- NEW - with foot crank
Since many customers operate the Spider Handle with their foot, there is now a Spider version with an enlarged contact surface. This makes power transmission easier, especially when the tank is already well filled.
Important Note: The foot crank is connected to the agitator via a slip clutch and therefore can only move the shaft in one direction (forward rotation). Therefore, the crank cannot be changed to the other side on this model. For operation with actuation on the left side as seen from the front, please order the classic with Spider Handle. This can also be operated comfortably with the foot, only the support surface for the foot is somewhat smaller.
- Dry separation toilet with composting function
- Urine bottle 8,3 l with screw cap
- electric 12 V fan (pre-mounted),
- 1.8 m cable, fuse for connection to a battery
- 1.5 m exhaust hose, 38 mm, flexible
- Space-saving Spider crank or standard crank
- 2 mounting brackets and screw nuts for floor mounting (screws for wooden floor enclosed)
