Product description
The Camp Plus Self Inflating Sleeping Mat is designed to provide maximum comfort for those looking for a versatile all-round sleeping mat.
Combining tough and durable 75D fabrics with our unique Delta Cores technology allows us to remove over 40% of the foam and create a compact sleeping mat.
The Camp Plus S.I. is thicker than our original Camp Mat S.I. and features horizontal Delta Cores. It offers great value, durability and comfort. The use of 75D polyester provides a harder, more abrasion resistant pad, while the Camp Plus S.I.'s 7.5 cm thickness provides adequate cushioning for even lanky hips. The high R-value of 4.3 also means you can use it year-round.
All of our self-inflating mats feature our unique, multi-functional single valve designed specifically for self-inflating mats. No more struggling to re-inflate when rolling up the mat!
Details
Our patented Delta Core punching process reduces the original volume of the PU foam by 40% and allows the weight and pack size of the sleeping mats to be minimized as much as possible. Another advantage of this technology is that the upper and lower connection between the outer material and the PU foam is completely glued without gaps. This ensures even thermal insulation along the entire length of the sleeping mats, avoids cold bridges and reduces the risk of delamination.
The shape and size of the Delta Cores are adapted along the different diameters of the mats to ensure strength and durability, while still allowing the user to enjoy the full benefits of a foam mat.
Multifunctional valve
This valve has three features: quick inflation through a large opening, pressure adjustment through a push button, and quick deflation by opening the entire valve.
Pillow Lock
The Pillow Lock is designed to keep your pillow right where it belongs - on your sleeping mat. Our unique PillowLock Velcro comes standard with all sleeping pads.
Astm F3340-18 R-Values
The R-value (resistance value) is a metric that indicates how effectively the sleeping mat resists heat loss. It also determines how the mat protects against body heat escaping through cold floor temperatures (which can be much colder than air temperatures).
This value may be tested internally, but at Sea to Summit, all mats are independently tested in a lab to closely controlled standards.
The new industry standard ASTM F3340-18 testing was introduced in 2019 and all Sea to Summit mats released since 2020 will be tested to this standard.
