Product details

Specially designed for fire engines Temperature sensor 825 in scope of delivery
Automatic battery regeneration Electronics moisture protected

Product description

The VAC-F charger series is designed for vehicle installation and fulfils the requirements of the FNFW in the current fire service standard DIN 14679 for charging auxiliary and starter batteries in emergency vehicles.

Details
  • Outstanding charging technology
  • Fully automatic continuous operation for constant operational readiness of the batteries
  • The charging voltages are free of peaks and regulated in such a way that overcharging is ruled out
  • Trouble-free operation and co-supply of the devices connected to the vehicle electrical system
  • Built-in charging current distributor with 2 main charging outputs, both with maximum current and power capacity
  • Charging current distributor output "2" can optionally be switched to a separate charging programme for the starter battery
  • Starter battery is also charged with full charging current if required (short vehicle service life)
  • Signalling output (MA) +86 for engine start disable with vehicle mains connection
  • Visual and acoustic warning in the event of battery and operating errors
  • Precise battery temperature compensation, temperature sensors included in the scope of delivery
  • Automatic battery regeneration during long downtimes (twice a week)
  • Compensation of voltage losses on the charging cables for exact compliance with the charging voltages
  • Disconnection of the batteries in the event of mains failure, overheating, incorrect behaviour (safety switch per charging output)
  • Power supply function enables consumers to continue operation and data retention, e.g. when changing batteries
  • Manual charging start when battery is deeply discharged in accordance with DIN 14679
  • Variable installation position
  • Electronics protected against moisture
  • Intelligent microprocessor control takes into account the simultaneous co-supply of consumers on the battery
  • Mains/charging power can be reduced if the mains supply is weak or limited (power limit function)
Charging programmes
  • "MOTOR": Charging programme for lead-acid/wet batteries, characteristic curve IU1oU2oU3: Characteristic curve similar to alternator/generator for mobile (mobile) use (acid stratification), with particularly low maintenance (battery gassing, water consumption). Charging and charge retention of starter batteries in emergency vehicles, in accordance with a conventional proposal from the Fire Service Standards Committee (FNFW). For conventional standard starter batteries, starter batteries "Absolutely maintenance-free", "Maintenance-free according to EN", "Maintenance-free according to DIN", "Maintenance-free", "Low maintenance".
  • "L": Closed acid/wet batteries with water consumption: L = low according to DIN EN 50342-1, characteristic curve IU1oU2oU3. Characteristic curve with medium U1 level for acid batteries in vehicle built-in or external chargers with fixed location.
  • "VL": Closed acid/wet batteries with water consumption: VL = very low according to DIN EN 50342-1, characteristic curve IU1oU2oU3. Characteristic curve with high U1 level for acid batteries in vehicle built-in or external chargers with fixed location.
  • "Fleece": Sealed batteries (VRLA) with AGM/fleece technology: Characteristic curve IU1oU2oU3. Characteristic curve for AGM batteries in vehicle built-in or external chargers with a fixed location.
  • "Gel": Sealed batteries (VRLA) with gel technology: Characteristic curve IU1oU2oU3. Characteristic curve for gel batteries for vehicle-mounted or external chargers with a fixed location

Note

Please note: since our deliveries may contain batteries (single-use and rechargeable),
according to the German Law on Batteries (BattG) we must advise you of the following:

single-use and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of along with domestic waste, but rather you are legally required to return used batteries. Used batteries may contain damaging substances which, if not stored or disposed of appropriately, may damage the environment or your health. Batteries may, however, also contain important raw materials, such as, for example, iron, zion, magnesium or nickel, which can be recycled. Once used, you may either send the batteries back to us, or return them in
your vicinity (e.g. at the shop, communal recycling points or at our expedition warehouse) - free of charge. When returning used batteries to points of sale, the quantity you are allowed to return is limited to the quantity typical for a single end user, and to those batteries which the seller offers or used to offer in their product range.

The symbol with a rubbish bin crossed out means that you must not dispose of single-use and rechargeable batteries
along with the domestic waste. Underneath this symbol you will also find the following symbols which have the following
meanings:
