Details
- 2 completely independent and autonomous charging sections in one unit
- Charging programs no. 1, 2, 3 and 5 (gel, AGM, acid, start) adjustable to battery type for each charging section
- Battery capacity can be set 4 times for each charging section (16 charging programs in total)
- Excellent charging technology
- Message output (MA) +86 for engine start inhibit at vehicle mains connection
- Automatic battery regeneration during long idle periods (twice a week)
- Compensation of voltage losses on the charging cables for exact compliance with the charging voltages
- Disconnection of batteries in case of mains failure, overheating, malfunction (safety switch per charge output)
- Electronics protected against humidity
- Charging voltages are free of peaks and regulated to eliminate overcharging
- Fully automatic continuous operation for constant readiness of the batteries
- Precise battery temperature compensation, temperature sensor included in delivery
- Intelligent microprocessor control takes into account the simultaneous co-powering of loads on the battery
- The VAC 1220/30 Duo with start bypass function version has the additional functions
- Built-in battery bypass function 200A for emergency motor start
- Emergency engine start also remote controllable with simple push button switch, e.g. from dashboard
- TheVAC 1220/30 Duo without start bypass function version has the additional functions
Inputs for voltage sense leads, optionally usable with overlong charging cables or with external lossy diode charging current distributors
- 1 "Gel": Charging program for gel batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3: Tuned to sealed, gas-tight gel/dryfit batteries with fixed electrolyte, which generally require a higher charge voltage level and longer U1 holding times to achieve short charge times with particularly high capacity storage and to avoid long-term battery "starvation".
- 2 "AGM": charging program for AGM/non-woven batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3: Intended for charging sealed, gas-tight AGM (Absorbent-Glass-Mat) batteries in lead-fleece technology, which require a particularly high U1 level with coordinated holding times for full charging and then a moderate U2 level for charge retention (plate and round cell technology).
- 3 Charging program 3 "DIN 0510" for lead-acid/wet batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3: General DIN characteristic for charging and charge retention of open and closed lead-acid batteries with removable cell plugs and the possibility of acid level control and acid level correction (maintenance). Also applicable for closed batteries low maintenance, maintenance free, low antimony, silver alloy, calcium etc. with low or very low water consumption. Provides with high U1 level short charging times, high charging factor and high acid mixing, even in dormant (stationary) use (acid stratification) for "wet" traction, lighting, solar, heavy duty and standard batteries.
- 5 "MOTOR": charging program for lead-acid/wet batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3: characteristic similar to alternator/generator for moving (mobile) use (acid stratification) with particularly low maintenance (battery gassing, water consumption). Charging and charge maintenance of starter batteries in emergency vehicles, according to an earlier proposal of the Fire Service Standards Committee (FNFW). For conventional standard starter batteries, starter batteries "Absolutely maintenance-free", "Maintenance-free according to EN", "Maintenance-free according to DIN", "Maintenance-free", "Low maintenance".
