How long could you test the caravan awning?
„In total, We could extensively test the awning 2 weeks at a time.“
Where were you camping with the awning?
„Due to bad weather in the second week of Easter, we unfortunately had to stay at home. However, we have the awning, including caravan, built on our lawn in front of the house.“
To which weatherconditions was the touring awning exposed during the test?
„Lots of rain, sun, and snow!!!“
How was the construction of the tent?
„After the first test build. The second went much better by hand. Since each air chamber must be filled individually, this also takes a little longer. But this did not pose any problems.“
How easy was it to install on the caravan?
„Threading into the keder strip, and ready! Big plus is the enclosed windbreak for the lower part of the caravan.“
How good did you find the inflatable pole in the test?
„Initially, I was very skeptical about the stability and the general stability. At the latest after the heavy precipitation and especially the snow masses I am convinced of the system! The weight savings compared to "normal" rod is an additional advantage.“
How do you rate the indoor climate in the awning?
„It just smells like a tent. And even after 2 weeks, this typical smell has not gone away. Ventilation options are sufficiently available whereby a condensation moisture in the tent could only be counteracted by opening the doors. Since there are five pieces available here, the tent is also quickly dry.“
How comfortable did you find the caravan awning in the test?
„Basically, it is a simple awning that fully serves its purpose. Unfortunately, the straps for attaching the door and window parts are too short to quickly wind up the parts. Also, there is no way to attach curtains. A ribbon on the ceiling for a lamp is unfortunately also completely missing. But what is not, can be improved in the old Camper-Bastel manner.“
How positive do you rate weight and packing size?
„Compared to our old awning, we have only half the pack size. Admittedly, this awning is also as long as our "Heide" itself. But since the "Molina" is also a travel awning, it is also obvious that the weight of the new tent is probably the most decisive. Since the complete pole of 25Kg is omitted, we now have only about 1/3 of the previous weight to carry. Also, the practical bag is another advantage when it comes to having everything together in the caravan. And beforehand: Yes, the tent you get when dismantling back into the same bag, including small poles (to expose the windows) and supplied double lift pump.“
How do you like the look and style of the caravan awning?
„Of course, there is no accounting for taste. But we find it very chic! It may not quite match the rest of the colors of our caravan, but it is still a real eye-catcher. Even in the dark, the neon green bands are easy to see, which makes the whole thing equally practical“
How easy was it to dismantle and stow away?
„Dismantling was also much easier the second time. As is often the case, you think to yourself, "Does this go back in the bag?" And yes it does! Simply fold according to instructions, the valves before nice open and leave open, and then roll based on the size of the bag. As an aid immediately the small linkage, and the inflatable supports for the interior with roll.“
How do you rate the value for money of this caravan awning?
„In direct comparison with its competitors, the \"Molina\" is really inexpensive for its size and light weight. Of course, about the durability can only be said more precisely after repeated use whether the travel awning is worth its money. In our period of use with the many different weather conditions, it has always held up, and did not break down even in extreme situations. (Snow masses on roof) In addition, there is enough space for us two adults with 3 children to be able to sit comfortably inside.“

„Overall, it is a tent that can be recommended! After initial skepticism, the \"Molina\" really became an awning on which you can rely even in the most difficult conditions. In stronger winds, the tent may well dent a little, but as soon as this subsides again, the inflatable supports put the awning back in place. Heavy rain can also not harm the tent. Due to the inflatable inner supports on the roof, parallel to the piping of the caravan, no water pockets form which would make the tent heavy. Even if it would become then nevertheless times very heavy on the roof, so happened with the snowfall at the end of April, the \"Molina\" has no too large problems with it. At this point, a small tip for all winter campers: I would leave out the linkage to expose the windows. In our case, i.e. unheated awning, the snow collected exactly behind this pole. It became more and more snow there because it could not slide away, and additional snow slid down from the tent roof. Finally the poles gave way and the tent collapsed
Who thinks now, \"beautiful Mist\" is wrong! After shoveling away the snow from the roof, and pushing from the inside of the tent to the outside, the whole tent stood there again as previously built!
With each other tent with necessary poles these would have collapsed under the load surely and would have damages at caravan or tent the consequence have can. With this tent there was absolutely no damage. All seams and fasteners were completely in tact
In my opinion, a real comfort gain, as I now no longer have to worry on the slopes when it starts to snow.“

„Super quickly built up, simple understandable assembly instructions and very speedy pump up the air hoses.6 shorter air hoses are also ruck zuck ready pumped up and are provided by the fixed Velcro for reinforcement simply in between, at the designated attachment points.
Two additional poles that are additionally fixed to the caravan, so that the awning is flush against the caravan, are also included.These are protected by foam beads.
In addition, a floor skirt which is pulled through the lower keder strip, makes it wind protected from the inside.“

„Easy to move in.“

„We are very pleased with the awning, because it is quick and easy to assemble and disassemble. All have enough space (3 people and 2 large dogs).Schön is that all windows are darkenable and the ventilation is adjustable, even despite rain.The neon-colored guy ropes also please us very well, because they are also not so long. How long could you test the caravan awning?
„We could not test the awning yet, because we have this year only on 18.June vacation and it can then build and test. We have been a month in Australia and could not yet enjoy the usual weekend tours because of shift work. For this we have the next months extensively time. It was unfortunately not communicated that the test report should be so early, the camping season begins now properly. We were very happy about the great awning because it is faster and easier to set up than our winter awning with all the poles, which was not practical for a short trip. Now we are happy that we can use an awning every time we go camping, which is a great relief.“
Where were you camping with the awning?
„We go on 18.6.2017 in Saxon Switzerland. In summer, several weekends to the Veluwemeer and hiking weekends on the Rhine and in September 10 days in the Allgäu. We are looking forward to the envious looks of the camping neighbors when we put up the great awning and will be able to make good advertising!

„Since we will be traveling in different regions, where we really wind sun and mosquito protection, the extra space must use, we are curious how the awning behaves in different conditions. Without poles, the awning can be taken down and protected very quickly during storms, which is a huge advantage
Setting up the awning will definitely be very quick. We bought a compressor, which will be very useful. First we pull the tent into the keder rail, then is aligned, inflated,the 2 poles are pressed to the caravan and secured with pegs. Then the awning is tensioned with straps and pegs, fantastically simple. What is particularly great is the large window protection that provides with aluminum tensioners for better protection, especially it locks out the sun without you always have to close the windows completely.“

Especially the special window protection, which is beautifully curved by the aluminum tensioners and stable to the front offers a lot of protection. In addition, the long windows that provide a bright and airy Atmospähre in the awning and give a free feeling, more than when you sit in a closed room. Absolutely perfect is that the windows can be individually closed with blinds, to the complete privacy! With curtains this is not possible. Super are the completely openable parts, if it is really hot, and in the evening against mosquitoes quickly close again ;-)In the awning you can simply feel comfortable, is not cramped and bright and airy. Simply top!“

„We worked our way through it with the help of the quick start guide. In the end, however, it is also self-explanatory and easy to assemble“

„Basically, we were very enthusiastic. It is easy and quick to set up, looks good and meets all the requirements for a travel awning. The unexpected snow was the only real problem. The heavy snow pushed the tent down, when we wanted to \"shake off\" this from the inside, we stood \"in the rain\".
